As NPC gamers, we understand the importance of having a comfortable and ergonomic chair for long gaming sessions. We also understand the fact that gaming chairs can get pretty damn expensive.

That’s why we put together a list of what we think are some of the best gaming chairs under $200. With so many gaming chairs available in the market, it can be overwhelming to choose the right one.

In this article, we’ll compare five of the most popular affordable gaming chairs on Amazon. I’ll go over the materials, comfort, and special features to help you choose the perfect gaming chair for your needs while staying under a budget of $200.

Homall high-back chair

The Homall high-back gaming chair comes in three different trims: white, red, and blue. The white and red trims are essentially flipped. But, the trims don’t just come down to color preference - their prices are different too.

At the time of writing this, the trims range from $100-135. All trims come with the same features, so getting the cheapest one is a huge cost-saving opportunity.

These Homall chairs come with:

  • Deep wrapping to support your shoulders
  • Lumbar and neck pillow support
  • Tilt angle up to 150 degrees

This chair is made with PU leather and has a high-density foam cushion for comfort. It also features adjustable armrests. If you’re going for a stylish look and don’t mind choosing price over color trims, then this is a great gaming chair to go with.

GTRACING gaming chair with footrest

The GTRACING gaming chair is made with durable materials and features adjustable armrests and a tilt function. It has a footrest and Bluetooth speakers, but the fine print states that the bluetooth adapter is not included.

What also sets this GTRACING gaming chair apart from others is its retractable footrest and 3D armrests. Like the previous Homall chair, this one comes in several different trims that are varying prices between $150-190.

Some reviews do mention that this chair isn’t the most comfortable, but it has still earned a 4.6 out of 5 on Amazon with more than 8,300 reviews at the time of writing this.

NPCs like us have to stick together and I feel like an average score of 4.6 from 8,000 people is a good sign. Nevertheless, take some time to read the reviews on this one if comfort is your top priority.

Devoko ergonomic chair

The Devoko gaming chair is made with a breathable mesh and PU leather like many of the other options here. It has the lumbar and neck support pillows, but the chair’s armrests are much firmer than a lot of the other chairs out there.

I also think it’s important to note that while the trims for this chair hover between $110-$140, the overall design is lacking the crisp, professional look that Homall and GTRACING have assembled.

Where the Devoko shines is its tilt angle, maxing out around 170 degrees. If you ever find yourself sitting at your desk watching movies, or maybe you are one of those gamers with a funky playing posture, then maybe this is the chair for you.

In the end, the Devoko chair is a great budget chair, but we prefer some of the other chairs’ styles over the additional tilt range.

POWERSTONE gaming chair

The POWERSTONE chair has four color trims - all for under $200. It’s made with breathable fabric and has a thick padded seat for comfort, but it feels a lot more narrow than most gaming chairs. It features the usual adjustable armrests, tilt up to 180 degrees, headrest, and lumbar cushion.

Where this gaming chair shines is its USB-powered massager. Personally, I feel like massagers are more of a distraction than anything while gaming, but maybe you’re different!

Overall, this chair’s narrow design felt more narrow than others and that leads me to believe that POWERSTONE sacrificed some of the baseline comfort to add in the massager.

If you’re like me and don’t foresee needing the massage feature too often, then I suggest getting the Homall instead. With that said, this is definitely one of the top gaming chairs under $200 if you’re interested in a massager. If you prioritize comfort like me, then you might be better suited with the Homall from the top of this list.

Furniwell leather gaming chair

I’m going to be honest with you, the Furniwell design is nothing more than basic… but then again, neither am I. This gaming chair is under $100 and that’s what sets it apart. However, beware of this chair if you’re a tall gamer.

The Furniwell gaming chair sits low - like really low. I’m above 6 feet tall and this thing was embarrassingly short. If you’re under 5’ 5”, then this chair might work best for you.

This chair is an important lesson in why you should always consider your desk’s height first. Otherwise, the Furniwell gaming chair is similar to most other chairs. It features PU leather and mesh material. It lacks lumbar support and a neck pillow, but that’s to be expected with budget gaming chairs.

Since the wrapping on this chair is shallow and the back piece is flat, it felt like there wasn’t as much shoulder support. It also seemed like it was harder to keep a decent posture for longer in this chair.

Overall, I’d recommend the Furniwell only if you’re looking for a cheap gaming chair under $100 and your height is clocking in at about 5’ 6”.
