If you came here looking for a cheap gaming chair, turn back. The Secretlab Titan Evo gaming chair is the most expensive chair I’ve ever had.

It boasts premium materials, advanced ergonomics, and a sleek design. With that said, this gaming chair is on the firmer side, so beware if you’re looking for something plush.

In this review, I’ll give you an in-depth look at the chair's features, build quality, and overall performance to help you determine if it's worth the investment. With that said, I can tell you right now, the Secretlab Evo is a worthy gaming chair if you can get it on sale.

Is the Secretlab Titan Evo comfortable?

Right away, I could tell that the Secretlab Titan Evo was designed with support for long gaming sessions in mind. Its firm seat cushion doesn’t cave even after a few hours of sitting.

The first thing I did after assembling the chair was go on a Valorant competitive marathon (I ended up getting demoted into Silver rank but that’s another story).

I didn’t feel the usual lower back pain that most chairs give me even after a couple of hours. I did catch myself slouching though, but that may just be my poor posture… I’m also on the taller side and I don’t typically use my gaming chair’s headrest except for when I throw my head and arms up after getting smoked by a smurf. In those instances, the pillow was nice I guess.

The chair features adjustable lumbar support and a multi-tilt mechanism that allowed me to find the perfect angle. I had to adjust the lumbar during my gaming session though as my original setting wasn’t cutting it after a couple of hours.

The 4D armrests can also be adjusted, but I didn’t play around with these too much once I found what felt like the perfect setting. Overall, the armrests are quite firm like the rest of the chair.

Expensive gaming chair. Next level features.

All Secretlab gaming chairs come with a range of features that enhance your gaming experience.

These include a memory foam headrest pillow, a magnetic side pouch for storing accessories, and a multi-functional tilt mechanism that allows you to recline the chair up to 165 degrees. One thing I immediately noticed was that the Titan Evo gaming chair feels spacious.

If you read my review on AutoFull’s pink bunny gaming chair, then you’ll know that I thought that chair’s wrapping made you feel secure in place. On the other hand, the Secretlab feels much wider. People that don’t have broad shoulders may feel like the armrests are far away.

This chair is way more comfortable than the AutoFull bunny chair, but it felt like my posture didn’t hold up as long. With that said, I recommend getting the regular size if you don’t meet the recommended height or weight for the x-large. I’ve dived into more detail on the trims and size options in the next section.

5 trims and 3 sizes: Secretlab Titan Evo

The Secretlab Titan Evo comes in five color trims and each color comes in three sizes: small, regular, and x-large.

Personally, I love the ash color, but I already know that I'll have to be careful about staining this thing. Even though the faux leather is high quality, it’s still easy to stain lighter colors. I guess that means no more Doritos while gaming…

Anyway, the regular size worked well for me and I’m just over 6’ tall and about 170 lbs. If you’re a big/tall gamer, the x-large size is probably a safer bet. I wouldn’t recommend the small size unless you also have a short desk to accompany it. Nothing is worse than looking up at your desk while gaming in my opinion.

Here are the recommended height and weights for each Secretlab Titan Evo size:

  • Small: shorter than 5’ 6” and weigh less than 200lbs
  • Regular: between 5’ 7” and up to 220 lbs
  • X-large: between 5’ 11” - 6’ 9” and up to 395 lbs

Unfortunately, some of the trim/size combinations may be out of stock. Secretlab is gaining popularity and it's clear that their stock varies. If the chair you want is unavailable, the best you can do is continue checking for a restock date.

What are people saying about Secretlab?

I make sure to read a ton of reviews on different platforms before making a purchase like this, and I’m glad I did. The Secretlab Titan Evo is firm, and I would have been surprised by how firm it is if I wasn’t prepared by the reviews.

Another thing people are saying about this gaming chair is that Secretlab’s support is responsive and helpful. One reviewer mentioned that their chair’s backrest seemed off and started to creak, so Secretlab sent them a replacement.

Of course, I mentioned that this chair is expensive and I wasn’t lying. By far and large, the most popular thing mentioned in reviews is that this thing costs a pretty penny. With that said, the majority of people seem to be just as pleased with the Secretlab Titan Evo as I am.

Is the Secretlab Titan Evo worth buying?

Overall, the Secretlab Titan Evo gaming chair is an excellent choice for gamers who want a premium, high-quality chair that offers superior comfort, support, and features.

While it is an expensive gaming chair, its advanced ergonomics and durable construction make it a worthwhile investment for serious gamers. Again, I recommend getting the regular or x-large unless you are confident your desk is short enough to compliment the small size.

It comes in five trims. I loved the lighter ash edition, but there are other monochrome and trimmed colors to choose from. One unique feature that I wasn’t expecting to be so worth it is the magnetic headrest pillow.

I’ve always felt that gaming chair pillows were on the cheaper and pointless side. And even though I don’t use it often, Secretlab’s headrest pillow at least looks and feels better than most.

If you can catch the Secretlab Titan Evo on sale, then I absolutely recommend picking it up. It’s an expensive gaming chair though, so check out my review on the gaming chairs under $200 if you’re looking for a cheaper option.
